LOL @ Dave

Yeah, he's been sidelined since the beginning of the season. Hell, he hasn't even been signed by a team.

a) Yes, Peter Forsberg is hurt - but he was hurt playing in a seasonal tournament for his Swedish club

b) Peter Forsberg announced the day after the Nashville Predators were eliminated from the playoffs that he was contemplating retirement from hockey. On July 1st, Baizley reiterated that his client was still unsure if he would play again (something that was reiterated again in mid September)

As of October 1st, Baizley had spoken to 29 NHL teams about Forsberg (Edmonton is the only team to not have had at least informal talks or faxed an offer), and IF he were to return , Forsberg has apparently shorted that list to a handful of teams believed to include the three he's played for and Ottawa. There are rumours about Detroit, but Forsberg has reportedly told both Alfredsson and Sakic that it would be very difficult for him to pull on a Detroit uniform based on the bad blood between Detroit and Colorado.

My guess is that his NHL days are over. He has two Stanley Cups, he has an Art Ross Trophy, a Hart Trophy, several post-season all-star teams, lots of money. He really has nothing to play for.

Peter has not been signed on to a team yet this year. Although he has been approached by Colorado, Vancouver and Ottawa. He is currently on the roster for MoDo which is a team in the Swedish hockey league and he is injured right now. with this foot. In an interview a month or so ago on TSN, he said that after he got injured, he has never been so close to consider retirement because his foot is in really bad condition right now.

Spud, people are just dogging you because it has been annoyingly bombarding sports sections for months now. He is injured, and is without NHL team. He has not been on US or Canadian soil in many months.
Below is the most recent new about him. He has received an encouraging evaluation of his surgically repaired foot. So maybe we will see him play in the NHL again, one day. I would drop him from your fantasy league.

He has a hurt foot, or in hockey terms..."a lower body injury."

he actually played in a game overseas and had to leave early because of the injury.

Peter may not come back at all this year. He tried to play a few weeks back and he's still in a lot of pain. You may as well dump him.

I'm not sure if he retired or playing in Sweden but he's not signed with anyone in the NHL.
