i have a 97 chevy suburban that just got the heads replaced (overheat had cracked them)

it misses the whole time that i drive it. it wont hold oil pressure unless i push on the gas or while im driving

theres ALOT of gasoline in my engine oil. i can smell it on my oil cap. i had just gapped my spark plugs today(the guy that worked on it left it at .045 and it needs to be at .060) and the missfire has gone down alot.....but it still misses the whole time i drive it. well it feels like i quites missing when i lift off of the gas pedal.

i noticed that my spark plugs smelled of gasoline as well. and spark plug 3 was fully caked of what looks like burnt oil. but it smelled the worst of gasoline. spark plug 2 was fine just smelt of gas

spark plug 3 and 2 are where my heads and valves are at that were worked on. so i dont know if maybe he messed up doing that part of the job or not

any help will be really really really awsome

overheating is the worst thing you can do to a car let me guess the intake manifold gasket failed??

first replace all the wires and have his work checked it may have damaged an injector you may also have burned up your rings they dont like getting hot i cant guess more with out seeing it sorry

What year and how many miles? If you did a head job on a high milage motor then it`s possible the rings are letting oil into the combustion chamber and fouling the plugs. Check your pcv valve and breather filter for proper operation. Almost sounds like the injectors have been dumping to much gas and washed down the cylinder walls and your engine has lost compression. Maybe you should have rebuilt / replaced the motor instead of only fixing part of it. Have you had the fuel pressure checked? Are you using a thicker grade oil? 10w 40? Gm`s are known to have low oil pressure when warm 8-15 psi at idle . If there is fuel in th eoil then it is getting to thin and will not build pressure at idle. Chances are the damage is done and its`s only a matter of time before it blows. Sorry . Have a gander here , maybe you can find a used motor or at least decide if it`s worth it. http://car-part.com/ BTW . I can`t wait to see if TWK or kazooo reports me again for this one not being a question or answer. Yaaaa Hoooo!!!!!!!!!

sounds like your piston rings are worn and oil and fuel are leaking past, you might try running a compression test you can get a gauge at any auto parts store, if compression is bad its not hard to rebuild just time consuming and cash consuming

drive it one more time, right back to the one that worked on it,and no more. You do not know what it is doing to your engine.I Myself would TOW it.They would cover the cost. The fuel in the oil is has bad as putting a bag of sand in there.Every second of run time is like 500 miles,Your KILLING IT !
