Yes, I have one and yes, I'd get a tat of it. It's pretty cool and Irish looking.

I have a family crest and would not have it tatooed. The thing about the crest is that in reality, no one but the head of the family in the main birthing place owns it, or has rights to use it. The crest is theirs and once they pass it goes to the next oldest and so on. To lay claim to it, you have to have more then just the family name, you have to have a right to it as well.

I do. I have a t-shirt with my family crest on it. I would get a tattoo of it if I wasn't such a chicken about getting a tattoo-lol :)

Yes three bears also a battleship named after my family name. Not a good looking tattoo tho

Yes and no as depending on the colours used and its general design. Some modern idiots might get offended due to what they "think" it means. Rather than what it ACTUALLY means.
