Why not? Prom only happens once in your life, so why not feel and look confident.

I have worn glasses since the age of 2 years!!!! I have seen some girls or guys change to contacts when they dress up or when they want to impress someone. I am not so lucky. I cannot see well enough out of one eye to be able to use contacts without glasses. I am of the age where I need tri-focals and contacts don't come that way. Usually if you need bi-focals, one lens is for near vision and the other is for far.

Actually some Women are more attractive and luring that
wear eye glasses. I would say yes you are correct as far as not feeling out of place like a prom or first date. Marriage?
I have yet to see one Women with glasses on at a wedding.
Each to their own. I look awesome with my Calvin Klines on!

If you normally wear glasses I think you should stick with them. Glasses are part of your normal look, and for prom you just want to look like a more beautiful you, not someone totally different.

Sure, I want to do the same thing sooo bad I mean contacts are waay to expensive and impractical to wear all the time but that's what prom's all about.

Besides who wants to have to say "no, sorry, I don't like this dress..It doesn't match with my glasses?"

Sure Hon. I wear glassed but have colored contacts for going out. It's fun and some times glasses just don't go with the outfit.

Not JUST for the sake of prom, but if the person were to start wearing contacts sporatically, I don't think it would be that weird.

Normal is a setting on a washer and dryer. If one can afford both glasses and contacts - then it's perfectly normal for them to wear what they felt they looked their best in.

Yes. Why shouldn't you be able to wear contacts at a special function? I wear contacts and glasses. I know when I go snowmobiling, snowboarding, or swimming I wear my contacts with googles. It is just easier.

i have trouble wearing contacts but if i am going somewhere important when i was that age i would just not wear my glasses at all. i am comfortable with wearing glasses now and i wouldn't want a pic without them because they are a part of me but at that age i would take them off for pictures.

"Normal" I guess might be an interesting word, but yes, you see some people exchange glasses for contacts for things like prom because they think it makes them look better.
