Read your profile, sound like a "hippie", to me. I still am after all these years.
Now to the question, yes however many questions here on Y/A, are redundant. Have no idea how it could be fix. In general the questions are simplistic. If you look at the demographic, age wise that is easy to understand.
If you look long enough you will find one that is worthwhile answering. Like this one.
I suggested last time I saw the meaning of life question, that they go to the web and research, "the meaning of life, by Victor Frankl, the psychological community excepts it to a great degree. I would be willing to bet the advise was not taken. My best to you. Sincerely

So tired. The meaning of life is just what it means to you
while you're alive on this planet, period. Next. There are
many more interesting questions to ask. Provocative
and thoughtful. Rena asks the best ones as far as I
can tell and elicits some excellent answers. I hope
people will get a little more creative with their questions
and answers. Some are great however.

I will admit that it bothered me too. However, I've had a change of heart. You can't down someone for asking. Some people have dealt with this question alot here and they feel that the issue is pretty much exhausted. But for the person new to Y/A, it's brand new. Now everyone has to start somewhere. And for the person that is trying to find answers, that would seem to be a good place to start.
Just because you have your answer, doesn't mean that everyone else has.

Yawn!
edit:
Thanks, Gee, for your perspective. In the "light" of day (even if it is still dark) I quite agree!
Sorry for the TD, Cosmic, Your answer is probably wonderful, but takes up three + screen scrolls on my pc, much more than I am willing to read on a computer monitor. Good or bad, I'll never know. I just automatically TD the really long ones as soon as I see 'em 'cause they're in the way!

I used to be too, but i've noticed that my answer to the question has evolved during the last year and a half. I'm wondering how many times i've answered that question....way too many times that's for sure. But I figure it's someone new to Y/A. One of these days, i'll get tired of answering that question....btw, i've received alot of 'Best Answer' picks....

"Man's Search for Meaning," Viktor E. Frankl, "And There Was Light," Jacques Lusseyran, "The Reincarnation of Edgar Cayce?", Free and Wilcock, http://www.divinecosmos.com and "Expecting Adam," Martha Beck, are examples of joy of innocent ones who benefit by asking the simplest questions.
"Climb the Highest Mountain," Mark Prophet, "Men in White Apparel," O. M. Aivanhov, "The Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil," O. M. Aivanhov, "Psychoenergetic Science," Dr. William A. Tiller, http://www.tiller.org and "The Master of Lucid Dreams," Dr. Olga Kharitidi, are perhaps "more advanced."
cordially,

Another good answer from Gee. I feel the same way. It bothered me at first until I realized that its just an uncreative way to ask the same question that all of us ask from time to time. You shouldn't ever dis someone just for asking an innocent question.
(unless perhaps if people are asking that particular question just to push your buttons to which I say, tsk tsk to them and 'fear not a jest, for salt thrown at you will only sting in an open wound' to you)

Yes, the answer is always 42, so people need to stop asking.
