For friends, you can send a message to multiple people in "Compose Message". Just start adding names to the "To" line and you'll see that you can send it to more than one person. I don't know what the limit is on how many people you can add like this, or if there is one.

(By the way, if anyone replies to this message, everyone in the "To" line will be able to see the response.)

For people who are not your friends, I think you have to do it one at a time by searching for their profile and then clicking on "Send Message".

I think you just send like an email, on the message page. The only thing is if someone responds to you, everyone will get that reply.

you check all of the peoples names. If you can't then you can't. One at a time. Consult the facebook director.
