I'm doing a research paper on Homosexuals and Nazi's.... the negative impact of the Nazi's on homosexuals. How it was for homosexuals before hitler, during and after...

Right now, i am going with "Homosexuals are more masculine than Nazi's".... does that sound okay for a 300 level class in a University? If not, what do you recommend? I have my sources (Gad Beck and Pierre Seel's books)....

I would research neo-Nazi homosexual hate crimes from all over the world.

Roughly something along the lines of

Thesis
"The Neo-Nazi hatemongers kill or torture over....homosexuals in a year world wide."

1. Two or three stories about Neo-Nazi homosexual bashing.
A) World wide statistics

2. The punishment the Neo-Nazi's recieved and the impact of their hate crimes on the family of the victim.

3. Laws in various countries.

This is off the top of my head, it should get you at the least five paragraphs. hope it helps!

"Homosexuals are more masculine than Nazi's" is probably inadequate because masculinity is an individual trait, and even as such, it is not well defined even within a culture. To try to state that homosexuals as a group are more or less masculine than another entire group, you have to have some way of backing it up, and you'll end up with personal attacks (ad hominems) and blatant opinions without any data to back them up.

Consider the following:

"The rise of homosexual rights advocacy and Nazism were parallel and sprang from similar cultural phenomena within early 20th century Germany."

"The Nazi approach to homosexuality sprang from its leaders' documented, intense self-doubts about their own masculinity."

"The purges of homosexuals within Nazi Germany harmed the arts under the Third Reich."

Or finally,

"Social Darwinism as a reflection of Nazi philosophy is inconsistent with the Nazi practice of exterminating homosexuals."

Hmmmm, i think that statement is based on prespective too much... Consider this... what is masculinity? who defines masculinity.. masculinity changes from society to society and it also changes with time. So I would say its not a very good theseis statement...

Before Hitler went all Nazi on the world... Homosexuality was tolerated in Germany, he didnt seem to have a problem with it untill , he had his buddy .. some general i dont remember his name executed (some speculate they were lover as they would take long vacations together) After he had his friend killed he started to wipe out homosexuality from germany.

What you have doesn't sound like a thesis statement to me.
Maybe you could start it like that and then say "becasue ...." and give the reasons you plan to discuss in your paper
Otherwise something like this might work "The Nazis greatly effected homosexuals by..."
Hope this helps....
