I was given a notice to appear in Court in Janurary. Reason: Probation Revocation hearing. I have been on Probation for two years. I have had no problems...... passed random Drug tests.....made every appoitment. The only thing is that I am late on Fines. Could someone please tell me what this hearing is. My PO is out of town till Monday and Im a little nervous for an explanation. Thanks

If you have kept to all the terms of your probation other then the fines then I am sure that is what it is over.

Call the Clerk of Courts office and ask them. The only people who are going to know exactly what it's about is your probation officer and the court, who gets a copy of the violation report and sets the actual revocation hearing.

Violations of the conditions of the probation such as not payment of fines can be a ground for revocation of the probation.

if you read the papers they had you sign you would know . the hearing is to ask why you were unable to pay, have a good answer for them or have the money for them. i donnot know the state you reside but if you have been clean they will help you. thats what they are for,if you had a problem paying you should have made them aware of that before you got behind. all you have to do is be honest with them if you are
