How long has it been since your last period? That's the important thing to an accurate pregnancy test. The hormone (HCG) is detected in the urine by the test. If there's not enough hormone in the urine, if you are only a few days pregnant, the test will show negative. The pregnancy would have occurred about 7 days after you started your last period. Example: you started on Tuesday, you will ovulate on/about Wednesday the following week.
The only reason to wait until morning, is because your urine has had time to concentrate in the bladder. If you drank a lot of fluids today, your urine will be lighter colored and less concentrated. In the morning, the hormone will more concentrated and more likely to detect lower levels of HCG.
Most pregnancy tests have 2 tests in each kit, did yours have only one???

Well well well, you will certainly not be the first to take the test during morning or night. Even though it is said that the first morning urine is the best because it has more concentrated hormones that detect pregnancy or give the best result the in what ever the Lab technicians need, It is helpful for early testing. as the day goes on the urine is less concentrated and is possible to be negative even if you are pregnant but it has not always been the case. You can take the test both morning and night so that you can also have the experience to know the answer to that and tell your own story one day.
I know someone who was pregnant but the test said she wasn't, even a friend of mind had a Scan the first month and it said she was not pregnant but she really was pregnant. So my dear i can feel you are anxious but i do wish your real desire come true for you. There are so many woman out there like you, you are not alone. Good luck

i have not taken a test at night and got a negative and then tested in the morning and got a positive. They say that the first morning urine is the best because it has more concentrated hormones that detect pregnancy. this is helpful for early testing. as the day goes on the urine is less concentrated and is possible to be negative even if you are pregnant

The ept test lets you take it any time. Unless the directions say morning urine only take it now. I took mine at night and it was an accurate positive. It is easier to get a false negative than a false positive.

The first morrning urine is the most accurate. I was testing everyday for 7 days and got all negatives, but I actually got my positive at night after.

No, but wait till morning. The first urine of the day has the most hormones.

It's only a few more hours!!
Go to bed :)

They're usually pretty sensitive, so if it's been long enough since conception, it'll most likely show up now. But it's more likely to show in the morning because you haven't drank anything in a while to dilute the hormones in your urine.
Hope it turns out the way you want!

if you have just taken a pregnancy test then you may as well at least wait until morning before you take another one.

It never mattered when I took mine but they do say that to detect very early it's better to wait until morning when the concentration is higher.
Good luck!
