the great thing about the US Constitution is that it does not require an elected official to have a college education.. in a democracy everyone, well educated or not, has an opportunity to be elected to public office.. we are all equal under the law.. there are no educational requirements to separate us.. a poor person with quality and character and an eighth grade education can legally run for office and if elected, he or she can serve.. it is the law.. I think it is a good one.. just because someone has a college education it doesn't mean that that person has any more talent or ability to serve the community.. in fact I am glad to see all the blue collar people get elected.. it is good for the country.. Will Rogers was a good example of how a down home country boy can still do a very good job of representing the people, as was Daniel Boone.. I could name a few more such as George Washington.. but if you have studied history.. you already know their names.. and lets not forget a guy named Audie Murphy.. he was not elected to public office.. but he was a poorly educated country boy that became the most decorated military hero in the history of the US military.. he did not need a college education for that and by the way.. he was given a battle field promotion to second leutenant.. a leader need not be well educated.. just well informed and capable.. I like it that way.. don't you?

Elected officials should not be restricted by their schooling or absence thereof. Men with practical experiences in life like farmers, business owners, technical workers bring more to the table then do many lawyers, professional politicians, or doctors..A college education proves nothing except the person had additional schooling. The best elected official has the streetsmarts to delve through all the menusha which comes with the job.

Some of the nation's most stupid people possess various college degrees. The mere possession of a college degree or degrees does not make one the best qualified, and today the big question is whether some people holding degrees honestly earned them , or were the degrees acquired by gift? Proven and tested experience relative to the position is far more important than the possession of a degree.

No. that could make it even harder for low earnings human beings to get elected into place of work. further, that's supposing that a suited training is often greater effective to an casual one the place somebody is committed to furthering their wisdom. i don't think that's usually the case (coming from somebody with a suited training). ultimately, in case you had to try this, you may could amend the shape, because of the fact that's what lays out the abilities for public place of work.

why would you feel they SHOULD have a college education?
i have met a lot of college people who have aquired "tunnel vision" in the one subject they majored in. i knew an engineer, who was a math genius and couldn't dress himself properly. he didn't have an ounce of common sense.

I'd be more likely to vote for someone who didn't!
Americans like doers, not thinker-talkers. I believe someone untainted by college would do quite well.
