solve for x?
It's approx. -2, -3, and -0.5
If you want to factorize it, it is : (x+2)(x+3)(x+0.5)

Write 2x^3 + 11x^2 + 17x + 6 as (x + a)(2x^2 + bx + c) as a starting point to factor the equation, you might also try
(2x + a)(x^2 + bx + c) is this doesn't work.

Since the constant is 6, then a x c = 6, so try factors of 6 for a and c, then try various values for b that will get 11x^2 and 17x.

2x^3 + 11x^2 + 17x + 6 = (x+3)(2x^2+ 5x + 2)

Further factor (2x^2+ 5x + 2)=(2x+1)(x+2).

Complete factorization is (x+3)(2x+1)(x+2)=0, so that
x=-3, x=-1/2, x=-2
