A simile is a comparison using "like" or "as." A metaphor is an implied comparison--one thing is called another when the author's real meaning is that the first thing is like the second in some way. With that knowledge, you should be able to pick examples of both out of "A Christmas Carol' by Charles Dickens. And watch your spelling!
