Ok I'll try to answer your questions
1. You can install Microsoft Office on your Mac when running Windows on it, you can't install it when your Mac is currently running Mac OSX (Unless of course, your also running Windows in something like Parallels)
2. Once again, if your currently on Windows on the Mac, or running something like Parallels, you can install the programs on the Windows side, no luck on the Mac side though.
3. No official mac packages come with windows, unless you can find some store or seller who will sell you both, you need to buy your own.
4. Apple generally has good support but there are a few cases where people are let down (and subsequently post it on a blog or youtube and get all there problems fixed by Apple)
5. The mac won't prevent you from downloading music and movies, after all, there's no sure way for the computer to even determine if the music/movie you are downloading is illegal.
6. Yes, there are antivirus programs for mac, not as many though, and most viruses will only work on Windows anyways.
7. Sorry can't help you here.

get a pc and just put windows xp on it this sounds stupid but Microsoft is have millions of problems sent in about how vista is not working right then on your spare time if u have any download Ubuntu (Linux) then u can either start ur computer up in windows xp or Linux and this will save you lots of money in the long run. I used to have a mac it seemed like it was incompatible with everything so i switched back to pc a about a month ago now for your questions 1.you would have to buy a new adition of office for mac because it is highly likely that it with turn out to be incompatible. 2. when you are runing the pc side of a mac its discribed like this you click on what you want walk away for 5 minutes then come back and hope that what you clicked on will have come up by then because my mac was slow on the windows side i had the imac with this setup 2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
1GB memory
320GB hard drive1
8x double-layer SuperDrive (super Slow drive i called it)
ATI Radeon HD 2600 PRO with 256MB memory
i was expecting way way more out of a almost 2000 dollar computer.
3.yes you will have to buy vista for the mac they sent me the trial version of vista for $50 extra
4.id say in about 2 years mac will finally beable to stand fully behind there equipment cause mine locked up atleast ounce a day and that was before installing anything anything on it.
5.no you can still download your " borrowed" movies and music but they'll take longer to download.
6.yes mac has anti virus but if your having a good day then it just suddenly will stop working for you until you reboot.
7.your best bet right now since its the holiday season is to look around on ebay there are some really good deals on there and i think it will cost you half the price instead of buying a new one.
i hope this helps you

1) You could use MS office if you load it into your window partition of your mac. If you want office to run natively on the mac, then you need to buy it again for mac.
2) Zune sucks, but it can work with Mac under the windows partition (Boot camp or parallels)
3) Mac can run both, but you need to have an install cd for the MS windows os.
4) This depends on the situation. They are pretty good, better than any of the PC makers for sure.
5) Please don't do this- but no Mac wouldn't prevent you from doing what you want to do.
6) Yes, but largely unnecessary.
7) You may be eligible for student or corporate pricing, check where you work!

1) Microsoft Office for PC will not work on the Mac. (they have Office for mac tho.)
2) Zune will not work on Mac currently (Microsoft isn't friendly enough), but the program XNJB looks promising, but is incompatible with Mac OS X Leopard (10.5), the newest version of Mac that you would get at the store. *See below
3) Windows does not come with Mac* See below
4) Apple is very friendly and quick with their service. I have owned a mac the past three years since switching from windows. If you have a problem, you can make an appointment to see a Mac Genius at the Apple store, or call them, and they will solve your problem very quickly. I guess you are new to Mac, and they even have a "Personal Training" assistant to show you the ropes, although it is not very necessary.
5) The mac will definitely not prevent you from using downloading software like Limewire or KaZza. (you have to turn file sharing on though in system prefrences)
6) YOU DO NOT NEED AN ANTI VIRUS FOR MAC, BCUZ NO ONE HAS BEEN ABLE TO CREATE A VIRUS for Mac, IT IS IMPOSSIBLE
A great site to buy a mac, you want the Black MacBook right?, is www.macmall.com (free printer, case, shipping)
They have windows deals with it also
There are two options for running windows:
for Free- use Boot Camp thats included with Mac, it lets you boot windows up like an PC and is REALLY FAST
or Parallels (its free on macmall.com with a mac!)
it lets you run windows WHILE running mac. that is quite fast also.
this will solve ur Zune and Microsoft office problems.
ur welcome ;)

Windows is a very versatile operating system. It has many features that MAC doesnt have. There are so many software programs that can work with windows. I dont think there are many which can work well with Mac. Best part is windows could be used to do ILLEGAL STUFF ..............
I am sure Mac is good in looks and vista is just a copy of Mac, but in the end features do matter.
Had i been you, i would have bought a PC with windows XP pro in it ..
but in the end, it also matters what u want to do with it
. if u are just buying for games and music + internet. go for Mac ... if u are a technology savvy person, go for windows.
"Oaks grow strong in contrary winds and
it's only under immense pressure that diamonds are formed"
which means PC will make your computer experiance rough and will make u tough ..

1.)YOU CANNOT install anything windows on a mac.
2.) A mac is it's own software also.
3.)Macs have very few viruses currently so don't worry.
4.)Not all Macs can dual-boot(mac & windows on same computer), plus it's a difficult process. You also would have to dish out money for Windows but you could try Linux.
5.)Pirating is not as easy as windows but still is possible on a mac.
6.)A good anti-virus for windows is Avast home edition(free).
I would go with a PC in your situation.

Look, if you are going to do video or music editing get a mac, if you want to play games and do office/school work get a PC, if you are good with computers in general get Linux because its the best of the 3 but hardest to use. its all about what you are going to do each one has its own specialties, dont listen to the zealots on either side
