If you really want to get technical we should actually celebrate our nations birthday on September 3. This should be done only because it was on September 3, 1783 that the Treaty of Paris was signed ending the war officially. July 4, 1776 is when we only declared our independence from the British. We didn't become an independent nation untill the treaty was signed. But we celebrate it on the 4th of July

Just which birthday are you referring to?
Just as you have a birthday each year, so do the American people have a celebration of the founding of our nation. Some years just seem to be more "important" than others such as our bicentenial (1976)
I pray that she may have many more such celebrations.
