If someone were to ask you what exactly rock and roll was and if you have ONE song to show them, what would it be?

When I thought about this, The Immigrant Song by Led Zeppelin immediatley came to mind. Feel free to disagree.

"Rocket 88" by Jackie Brenston & The Delta Cats (1951)...one of the first,if not the first, RnR records..written by Ike Turner who also played piano with the remnants of his Rhytmn Kings as the Delta Cats. Or if ya wanted to modify..."Jumpin'Jack Flash" by the Stones..it straightened it all out. God help you if you had the live version of "The Last Time" blasting from the live "Access All Areas"..could have cost you $225 and 2 points..but that's another story.

"Get It On" by T. Rex. It's certainly not my favorite T. Rex song, but it's definitely the epitome of Rock.

"You're dirty and sweet
Clad In black
Don't look back
And I love you..."

... THAT'S Rock n Roll!

I completely disagree about The Immigrant Song (or any Zeppelin song, for that matter)... but I love your Syd Barrett icon.

That's a great choice!
I'd pick Purple Haze by Jimi Hendrix.
