Any good drawing techniques or websites that teach this? I like to draw, but I also like to draw letters, for example the letter D but in a different shape/format or Draw something that represents a letter or a name with something special under it like a tail or script. any ideas. thanks to all answers.

Have you checked out calligraphy sites online or even Medieval illunination? There's some gorgeous stuff available just for the searching. Do the obvious searches, then add in the word 'tutorial' for a wider range.

Jack Hamms' book.( Cartooning the head and figure) has a article on that area of art. I believe in creating my own stuff. Guess what?, it is just as good as the rest.
