I think it's fair game, their are no rules stating otherwise. Remember, the constitution doesn't have any concept of running mates or political parties, these are simply manifestations that we have created. Now, it might cause some logical problems, having two nominated candidates be running mates, but nothing prevents it from happening.

Why would they want to? The only thing these two have in common is wanting to get out of Iraq ASAP. Their reasons for doing this are completely different though.

Ron Paul is purely a Libertarian; the party borders on Anarchism and prefers the government leave everyone and everything alone. This is Paul’s reason for wanting out of Iraq. Of course, this also means every other aspect of our social welfare system would be abandoned in favor of big businesses and private corporations if he had his way.

Dennis Kucinich is a Social Democrat; borderline Socialist. He wants to get out of Iraq because our military budget is draining our country’s resources – resources that can be redirected to go towards improving our social welfare programs, providing work for the unemployed and universal healthcare for the entire population.

Environmentally, these two are on opposite sides. Whereas Paul, again, wants to leave everything alone and hope businesses sort these things out for themselves, Kucinich wants to create jobs in the “Green” sector through a government funded public works program and join other nations in ratifying the Kyoto Protocol.

Just because two people hate lima beans doesn’t mean they should get married, does it? So why should these two partner up?

Ron Paul and Dennis Kucinich had all the options in the coming elections. They could choose to be running mates or run separately against the favored Hillary Clinton.

VOTE for your choice as US President on my 360 degrees blog and know if Ron Paul or Kucinich will likely win.

do not give the 2 parties any good ideas on how to further consolidate theyre power. Although I wouldnt mind Paul and Kucinich being Pres and VP but in the future it would be used for evil intentions.

I look at them a couple of populists. They have some great ideas but populists have not done well since Teddy Roosevelt. The last two I consider populists did well at a few things but simply could not overcome the inertia of the establishment to keep moving.

The two I consider Populists were
1) Jerry Ford--He had the brass to perdon Nixon and thus quickly close a very painful chapter in US History. had he not done so we'd have spent 4 or 5 years thrashing that one around. Unfortunately he inherited an economy in a tailspin from too many years of Guns AND Butter.

2) Jimmy Carter.--He managed to broker a lasting peace betwen Egypt and Israel (when was the last time these 2 fought). He too was stuck in that awful economy. He did have the brass to get major fuel conservation regulations in place that paid off 5 years down the line. Infortunately he got bogged down in the Iranian Hostage Crisis. That in itself is a whole other rant!!

I'd love to see someone with ethics and a desire to right in the white house. I just look at the last guys we had like that and don't like the results.

It's not going to happen. Ron Paul is strict pro second ammendment and Kuccinich is a gun grabber.

They aren't just on opposing political parties. They are exact opposites when it comes to fiscal and economic policy.
