I just bought a Widescreen monitor for my computer. I am currently on the 1024x768 resolution. Buttons and everything seem kinda big. But when I switch to 1280x768, it gets worse. Then when I switch to 1280x1024, everything is WAY too small.
My screen's actual resolution is a 1440x900. How can I adjust it to that resolution?

EDIT: I did what you suggested me to do, and now all I have a re a bunch of unwanted "updates" and still no adjustment in the screen resolution setting. Right now, I just want to remove all these unwanted "VIA V-Raid utility" garbage and stuff. I was much happier without them.

If you can not get 1440 by 900 with your current system, then try upgrading your video drivers. Either from your motherboard/system manufacturer web site, or from the video card manufacturer if you have a separate video card.
