The latest estimate for the time at which humans moved into the Americas is a bout 10,000 years ago. It is likely to have been earlier. The Roman Empire started in about 40 BCE, and the Republic a couple of centuries earlier.

yes, indiasn were living here as primitive cavemen. no technology, no inventions, no medicine. you could hardly call it living, more like barely existing
