Why is everybody think the 90's were way better than 2007-2008, when we now have iPods that can hold 40 thousand songs, pictures, and videos; Xbox 360s and PS3s that have very realistic graphics and quality, and can play online and actually learn all of your moves; have cars that have style to it instead of boxy corners and shapes and cheap interiors and engines; cell phones that have HD cameras in them, can text, hold music, photos, videos, and more; computers that can hold 3 times as much memory, do 5 times the things computers from the 90's could, and have 100 times better graphics; tons of wireless devices that you can fit in the palm of your hand that you would never dream of ever having in the 90's, such as the iPhone which is literally a computer in your pocket and can do much more than a normal cell phone; and way better graphics on TVs and better sound quality. So what was so special about the 90's?

I have to agree with you on that one. I think that we all are living in the best times and I almost feel sorry for the adults that are like 55 and 60 years old because there's no telling what the future holds.

Even though the economy and global issues really aren't all that great right now, we have all of these new technological devices that just make life so much easier and exciting.

I guess that the gas prices were maybe just a Little bit better back in the 90's, and life was probably less stressful back then because of the increasing costs of living nowadays, but I still like the days that we are living in now more.

Because the 90's featured alternative rock, grunge, good TV shows that weren't saturated with innuendo to make them good, and excellent gaming systems. In the 90's, nobody needed MP3 players or supercomputers or good graphics. People still lived simple lives and enjoyed technology as a luxury.

Now, people always b*tch that the best of the best isn't good enough. I'm tired of hearing people complain that the graphics on WoW are sucky, or that their cell phone can't record good-quality video, or that their iPod can't hold enough music. Nobody needs any of this stuff! The past seven years have made people incredibly ungrateful. Nobody is ever happy with what they have. Everyone wants more. I guess this gets progressively worse with each generation, but it makes me sad.

Am I correct in thinking that you're quite young?

The 90's were amazing. Life was simple; like the person said above we didn't need all that technology (that we have now) to make us happy. Besides we have Nirvana on our side!
