That is so wonderful! You will do great!! I was 40 when I got out of nursing and went into law/government and loved every minute of it. The going to court, meeting so many diverse individuals and the challenge. I still miss it. ( except for the the occasional belligerent, rude or demanding client) LOL)
I wish you all of the luck in the world serendip.

I think it's a great idea, bless your heart! I've taken 12 continuing education classes, since I never had the funds to go full time. I plan to continue to take more classes in the future and I'm 51.
My daughter has a 2 yr degree and is back in college now at 32. She can only take 2-3 classes at a time with home and work, so it will take her awhile too. We've discussed this, but I think it's important for her to continue her education, esp since it's something she wants.
I wish you the very best in your health and your future!

Do it - forget about your stroke - that's negative! My best friend went to Law School at 55 and became a Lawyer at 59 - she practiced law for 10 years and then retired with a much bigger pension than she would have received as a legal secretary! Go for it, gal! Age is just a number!

I went back to school at 50. I will graduate at 52 and then plan to go for my Master's. You will be 40 whether you go to school or not. Don't wake up one morning at 45 or 50 and realize you did not do what you really wanted

You are never to old to learn. Congraulations, and you will do better than someone younger, because you know what it will take to finish the course. It doesn't matter if you only have a 25 year career, at least you went for it and will have it.

I was a 39 year old freshman. I had plenty of marketable skills, but something in my life was still missing. A lot of pride and no regrets in doing it. Plus I make a lot more money than I could without it. In short-grab that brass ring. I'm proud of you.

Go for it! I know one lady who finished up law school and was admitted to the bar in Nevada at the "tender age" of 45. Another finished law school and was admitted to the bar in Texas in her early 60s.

As Ann Landers used to say, what you be doing if you don't. You have your whole life ahead of you and you may as well spend your time doing something you want. Good Luck and go for it!
