My 3 year old daughter (soon to be 4) lives really far away from me right now. Does any one know some ways to keep good communication over a long distance? Besides the phone cuz i dont have her phone number, her mom moved and her moms new husband is a punk and he doesnt want his pjhone number given out. I do have an address tough. I tink it is real. I want my daughter to know daddy loves her. I never want her to tink for one second i dont. This is so hard cuz im dealing with childish adults. Right now I dont have alot of money, so i cant afford a lawyer at all. Thank You!

I don't know anything about child support or seperation things. But, i've been in a long distance relationship for 4 years we live in different countries so phone bill can get high sometimes. We use a website called Skype its free and basically you call computer to computer so if they set up the account then you set one up you can talk to her on there, it also has the connection for a webcam so you can see eachother online. It might be hard since they might not want to set up an account, they can block all ther info so its not like you will know anything else but ther user name. If not then letter writting is good too, since she is young sending a small carepackage with a book or toy would be cute just every now in then with a letter for her. I hope that i helped. Good luck :)

Well do you pay child support?
If you do you have every right to make her stay in the state that you live in.
If you don't I want to know why!
It doesn't take that much money.

With her being so young you can't exactly do too much with her but you could invest in one of those camera that hook up on a computer and get her one too if that's not an option one of the phones that have the camera in them they all are expensive but if you want your daughter to know you then its going to cost money its sad but true.
Is it possible for you to move by her?
Good Luck and I hope you find a way. If you think hard enough I am sure you will.
You could send her cards with photos of you and her if you have any and make them simple enough for her to understand them.

She sure does need you...I am wondering what kind of court arrangement you have for visitation/ and telephonic communication. Lawyers are expensive but you can educate yourself about your and HER rights. She has the right to see and speak with her dad and if that jerky boyfriend is interfereing then you do have the right to bring it before the court.
BUT FIRST google/yahoo "Father's Rights" for your state and begin to learn the right way to petiton the court. Many fathers represent themselves. Many fathers get a free 30 minute advice from lawyers too. They will call you back and want your buisness but at least you got your 30 minutes.

That is so sad... it's really hard to find a good day out there who cares for his baby so much... Maybe you can send her a letter with a little toy and perhaps a photo of you... at least then she would know how much you care while you are writing to her it might be an idea to see if mum will write back for her... Perhaps you should get soem legal advice... The courts always favour both parents being on the scene regardless of how poor they are... it is in the best interests of the child to have contact with both the mother and the father

This is hard being the other adults in her life are selfish...if you write to them they might not give them the correspondence...I suggest you write anyhow on a daily bases if possible and make copies of all your letters cards.

In the future they will try and find you and you have the proof that you wanted to contact them..

I really hope things get better in the future, keep your head up.

i will say a prayer for you

Santa will place you on the good daddy list

Do what ever you have too to communicate with her and dont ever give up. dont fight and argue with mom and always keep it civil no matter what. in time your daughter will see and know the truth. but until then its going to tear you apart inside, so try NOT to look bad by doing stupid things. dude good luck its a place many of us have been but in the end its not so bad and she is young still.

Did you ever think of setting up some times to where you can chat online. Maybe with a webcam. Its just an idea...cause my sis is in Alabama and her daughter is in Cali. Thats what they do
