Violent and strategic. Skill, action and strategy.

Very boring to watch a pro football game live, because it's made for TV with replays, analysis, etc. It helps make us all feel like we are masters of the game. [see "armchair quarterback"]

College, high school, and pop warner games are only as good as the atmosphere, or if you know someone playing.

This is coming from someone who played football for 7 years, and competed in rugby internationally for a season, after 3 years in the states.

Football violence is thrilling and the stop/start nature of it makes it very easy to analyze and marketable. There is something oddly alluring about a full collision sport using your body as a weapon in short controlled bursts of aggression.

I don't get it either. I like to watch the Bears when they do good but that's more of my pro-Chicago attitude.

To relate to football you have to understand the appeal of testosterone overload. Football is all about manliness and domination.

I have a problem with sports' enormous popularity because they are just another distraction from real issues.

I love watching football
I sort of enjoy playing it but i am terrible at it so i usually avoid it
If you cant get into focus on the fun commercials and make some cool food.....or go do something else.......

also football is basically the modern American version of the gladiator matches that took place in ancient Rome. If you just don't like it, then silently make fun of how ridiculous it is.

good luck

I absolute love football it the sport on t.v. It's very interesting and fun to watch. It shows very athletic people doing very athletic things that you can't get from any other sport. Football is great and exciting.

I could care less about football .
When 40% of the schools budget goes to football I believe there is something wrong. and should be done away with.

I'm a Pats fan. I think football's alright, but I'd much rather watch basketball or baseball. Celtics and Red Sox represent!

I agree with you arsenal, that yanky stuff is garbage, they all wear mattress's around them, it stops every couple of seconds, then they have to break, they have 2 sets of teams for each side, they can only play in one position generally. they need cheerleaders to jazz it up, typical American dribble. steroids and fat blokes, with helmets and pads. not for me thanks. now the ice hockey, that's a diff story, love that game, but the best football code in the world is Aussie Rules, just ask those two sailors in America that got charged recently.
