Read the word "is" as an equal sign and 225% as 2.25. Doing this one gets:
A=2.25B

Multiply both sides by 1/2.25 and you get :
(1/2.25) x A=B
.444 x A=B
B=.444 x A

Turn the Equal sign into the word "is," turn .444 into 44.4%, and turn the multiplication sign into the word "of" to get:
B is 44.4% A

These simple word substitutions are the trick to percents

A/B=225%
B/A= the inverse of A/B
1/2.25=the inverse of A/B
which is 4/9, or 44.4%
