I Know On Many Games After You Beat it you unlock special costumes, they normally give you some kind of ability or power, do RE4 Special Costumes do anything like that? and does the Matilda have Unlimited ammo (Its Exclusive upgrade or something?)

No the Matilda does not have infinite ammo, only the RL and the Chicago Typewriter and Handcannon do. The costumes do nothing. The gangster outfit changes how the typewriter looks and the knife, and if you reload the typewriter like three times he does this thing where he throws his hat and catches it.
EDIT: Just adding to what the guy below me said: You get the ABILITY to buy Matilda IRL and the Chicago Typewriter, the TP and IRL cost about 1,000,000 each to buy.

To add to all the other info you've received from the above answerers, if you have the PS2 or Wii version and unlock Ashley's suit of armor, enemies will be unable to carry her away or hurt her. So yes, one of the costumes has a special ability. The GameCube version doesn't have the suit of armor. (GC version also doesn't have Leon's Gangster suit.)

Leon will wear his S.T.A.R.S. police uniform, Ada will wear her Assignment Ada outfit, and Ashley will be bedecked in full Britney Spears regalia. Tantalizing….
You also get Separate Ways, Assignment Ada, Mercenaries, Movie Browser, Alternate Title screen, Maltilda, Infinite Rocket Launcher, when you beat the game.

Well, no....not at all lol unfortunately. You can unlock unlimited ammo by completing the game a few times or doing separate way, the mercenary's, ext. But no no special abilitys sorry and like you i wish they did >_<
