I got Sims Complete Collection s a gift, can it be played on a MAC???

Today she tells me they only have Macs!

If it says PC on the box, it can only be played on a PC. If it says Macintosh, it can only be played on a Mac system. Keep the receipt. If she can't play it, you can take it back and get the correct version. Or instead of the Sims complete edition, which is honestly outdated, buy her Sims 2. It's way better than the original game.
