to transfer music from your pc and itunes to your ipod/heres how:
get a program for it.compare pograms by going to
to en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_iPod...

click the name of the one you want and google it and download it.

Since many have free trails or are free, give some a test drive and decide that way.

Before you do that you may want to back up your iTunes library (if you already have one):

Open My Computer, and open this sequence of folders:

Local Drive C:

Documents and Settings

(your username)

My Documents

My Music
You'll see a folder "iTunes". Right click over it once and select Copy.
Paste it to a place you'll remember (like your desktop or preferably an external hard drive).
After the transfer is done, open this folder and open the iTunes Music folder to make sure the files copied okay.

If your music wasn't in My Music and you don't know where it is, do this:
Open iTunes, go to Edit and select Preferences.
Select the Advanced tab.
Under the General tab, you'll see "iTunes Music folder location".
That is your path to your iTunes folder.hope it helps.

I found a program called iDump which allows you to pick what songs you want to take off your ipod and then it takes them off and puts them into a folder of your choice.
