Yes. Being gay is genetic. Your doctor can test your DNA to see if you carry the gay gene.

If you don't- you're straight
If you do, but the gene is recessive- you're bi
If you do, and the gene is dominant - you're gay.

Not all doctors provide this test. If he tells you he won't do it, or that no test exist you may have to threaten to sue him to get the test done.

Yes, we're born this way. Simon LeVay found a way of identifying homosexuality with a 90 something percent accuracy. Here is his study in a nut shell...

The Hypothalamus is the sexuality control center for the brain. Simon LeVay discovered that there are different parts that control our sexuality. He studied these parts and narrowed down which ones controlled male and female typical sexual behavior. The section that controls male sexuality is called the Medial Preoptic Area. The female counterpart is called the VentroMedial Nucleus. These sections that control this behavior exist in both men and women, however, the male typical section is larger in men and vice versa for women. In a later study LeVay monitored the activities of the Medial Preoptic Area and the VentroMedial Nucleus while stimulating homosexual men and women and straight men and women with flash cards of the same and the opposite sex. He also stimulated their nose by allowing them to smell a cloth containing the sweat of a man or a woman.. Not only did he find that the opposite section of they hypothalamus reacted, but he also found that the two sections sizes were the opposite of the sex of the subject. The gay men reacted to male stimuli and had a larger VentroMedial Nucleus. The women reacted to female stimuli and had a larger Medial Preoptic Area.

I don't know how well you will find someone willing to do this test on you, I imagine it would be quiet impossible for someone to do this at your request.

"Queer Science: The Use and Abuse of Research into Homosexuality" by Simon LeVay (explains how the parts of the hypothalamus control orientation… and also reviews a lot of other orientation research that has been done)

Do you have any idea how well printed it would be if someone scientifically believable came up with a sound study that showed how peoples sexuality was determined? Its such a heated debate and a lot of people are curious to know. Trust me you would have heard of it if there was a way.

No, not at this time at least. Maybe in the future. Researchers have recently found various differences in the brains of people who are gay and people who are straight. But keep in mind this is all still pretty new information. A link to a story about one such case is below.

Scientists think there might be some ways, but no, there's no "gay test" or anything like that yet.

If you think you might be gay, just give yourself some time to consider things; like what characteristics you are attracted to in a person, what you want in a relationship, and what you want sexually. Maybe you're bisexual? It can be an easy answer sometimes or it can be difficult. If you're still young, then mostly just give yourself some time to figure it out. ^_^

The sure fire way for anyone to determine homosexuality is to see if they are or desired to engage in sexual conduct with someone of the same sex. Other than that, no genetic test have arrived as of yet. It sounds like you are at that age where everything gets confusing. In time, things will settle and you will know for sure.

Being gay or straight isn't a medical issue. It's a social issue. Some people are more sexual in nature than others but just about anyone will be sexual with either sex under the right social circumstances.

All these answers about showing you gay porn are lies.
They use a concealed camera in the waiting room to see if you leaf through Interiors magazine instead of Sports Monthly.

They can tell if they put you under a functional MRI and they have you watch gay porn

fMRI combines the elements of the MRI and PET scans. An fMRI scan can show details of the brain structure with information about blood flow in the brain, tying brain structure to brain ACTIVITY during COGNITIVE tasks..

When the Doctor tells you to bend over and he sticks his gloved finger in you butt and you smile he will definitely know you are gay.
