i'm guessing that you're looking at the chord chart that comes up when you hover over the chord name. The x means to play that fret, the 0 means to play that string open. If you look at the top of the tab, they have listed each of the chords. It says to play the Em7 like this - 020033. That would be the best way to do it.

Just like E7, eliminating the first fret of the B string as with the E chord.

Hold down these strings:

- 5th string, second fret
- 4th string second fret
- 2nd string third fret
