I have boxes of records.
My husband had a few and I had a few.
Years ago we started buying records at garage sales
Now when we have people over the records are a big HIT!
I listen to my records daily.
In the morning, lately I put on a record, my husband puts the coffee on, then we jump back in bed to read the paper and listen to music.
We have reel to reel, eight tracks and C.D.'s
Now that we can make our own music on the computer
.(lime wire)
I think I will finally get rid of the eight tracks.
I almost lost an old friend over my records(her records) my girlfriend came over for some girl talk and a glass of wine.
I put some music on (records)
She asked for the records back , I had bought them from her years old ago from her Divorce Sale.
After the second bottle of wine she picked out five albums and was happy and alittle drunk.
that second bottle of wine saved our friendship my iron butterfly and Simon and Garfunkel >.
Never got woman drunk before to have my way lol

I still have some from back in the 60's and 70's and am thinking of upgrading to CD and then selling on EBay....they can be worth some money. For example a Beatles White Album and cover jacket in like brand new condition can actually get you $100.00!! I have seen one go for that. My CD collection is getting larger, I love music but with iTunes I just make my own of my favorites, much less expensive and you only get what you really want! lol!

I still have my LPs but I haven't played them for a long time. My record player quit working and I didn't replace it. Yesterday, while I was Christmas shopping, I saw this thing that was made to make a CD copy from records. It wasn't real expensive, so I think that I will go back to that store tomorrow to buy it. I'll give to my daughter. She says that my LPs are hers anyway, so it will be a good gift for her.
I have quite a few CDs now too.

I still have all of my record albums, have all the different speeds. You didn't ask this, but I also still have my 8-track tapes and my cassettes. I do still have my record player and my cassette player. I don't have my 8-track player any more as a spring broke in it. I also have several CD's now as well. All of these have been moved several times with me as well. They are a part of me!

I have about sixty albums dating back to the 30's and 40's, all from the original big bands. I even have the upright cabinet player that plays these with a wooden pick up needle. I don't know what they are worth, but they are good conversation pieces.

We moved so many times, I finally gave them up. The little 45's were the hardest for me to let go of, I loved the songs on those. Now I have CD's, they are more compact and easy to store or move.

All cds now but we have all the ones we need and are happy with them. No room for collecting in our small home on wheels.
