THis website does a pretty good job of telling you everything about Bromine, and at the bottom it lists interesting facts, like what Bromine is used for. Hope this Helps.

It's one of only two elements that are liquids at room temperature. Mercury (Hg) is the other. I know someone out there is thinking Gallium, but Gallium's melting point is ~30C, not room temperature in my book!

It is pretty reactive and pretty nasty stuff. Not fun to use!
