I really don't like this term because I think it's a cop out. George Bush is a perfect example of someone who should change his mind on Irag but do to his absolute stubborness he's going to stay the course even if it runs us into the ground. I think that is foolish. So, which is better someone who never grows and stays the same or someone who after more careful thought has a change of opinion on what they should do. That said, the problem is the candidates do a poor job of explaining why they changed their mind. Nor can they be entirely honest. Take Guiliani for example pro-choice most of his life but now he's trying to win the GOP nomination so of course he changes his opinion and he lies about why like no one can tell the difference. People aren't stupid. I would have had more respect for him if he just came out and said, you know what this is a party issue and I've decided to go the party way or whatever.
So, it's not the flip-flopping I mind so much as the pandering, which is what I mind alot and is really at the heart of flip-flopping. They are pandering to a particularly constituency and they have to modify their views. But in today's electronic age everything is on record and it's coming back to haunt them.
I have to add that I think Hillary has done the best job in saying, "I really can't say what I would do, I don't have enough information" "Here's what it looks like, but I don't know" and I respect her for that.

No - I think others are worse.
I believe him when he said that his view on abortion has changed over the years and that is not a flip flop. I have various views that have changed over time and I don't consider myself a flip-flopper.

Oh, you mean like Hillary that voted for the war, then to de-fund the troops, and now she wont say when or if we will ever get out of Iraq. And lest we forget about the illegals and drivers licenses debacle
At least Romney NEVER acted one time in the interest of pro-choice.........he always came down on the side of life
