His impact is still felt today and there are few presidents that can say that. He inspired Bill Clinton to grow up and be President. His Peace Corp program is still widely replicated world wide and also inspired Bill Clinton to start Americorp a community based program here in the states. His administration is still considered the most eclectic the most exciting. He made great strides in foreign and domestic policy and he did this in 3 years in office. He held his cool during the Cuban Missile Crisis and guided us through this period of the cold war with some good old fashion common sense and diplomacy.
There's a side to him that wasn't pretty, but he was a great American hero with a flawed character it doesn't lessen the great job that he did. People today still think of John F. Kennedy it's what every president aspires to whether they admit it or not.

J.F.K. was the FIRST modern president to drastically reduce the high tax rate on the highest level of tax payers.
As ALWAYS happens, the economy was greatly improved and the tax revenues received by the Federal Government went up considerably.
It has worked EVERY time it is tried!
That was quite a precedent he set.
I wish today's Democrats were like him.
