My employer requires me to get fingerprinted. Where can I do so? I live in Northern California, in the Southern Bay Area. Is there a charge to this?

The Sheriff's Office in the Civil Department. There will probably be a fee. Some only take cash or money orders so call ahead to see how much it is.

We went to the local police station and it cost us $15, but that was 10 years ago. Call your local station and find out.

Your employer should provide that service. At the very least he should tell you where you can go to have it done.
