I've been seeing him for about a year now and I developed a huge crush on him!!! What should I do? It's so embarrassing!!! :(

maybe you should talk to him about that at your next session
he probably has better advice then anyone on here

While it's embarrassing, you need to tell him. He may recommend that you see a different psychiatrist. It could be a good idea to see a woman instead. You can't get the best treatment possible if you're distracted by feelings for your psychiatrist.

This is fairly common with any counselor or therapist. It is called transference. A good therapist is accepting and willing to listen to you. He respects what you say. These are all very attractive traits. It would be both unethical and illegal for him to respond to you in any way. If he did he would be jeopardizing both his license and his freedom.

How old is he? And maybe if he is 30 or older, chances are he is married or dating.

You should stop seeing him, because if you have emotional attachments to him that can never be reciprocated, it's not good for you and he won't be able to do his job. good luck.
