No, because the two managers of the last world series are the managers for the All Star Game. When they play at Yankee Stadium they will all be the AL team not the sox and Yankee teams. They work together for a common goal of beating the NL team. Don't fret about it!

i dont think so, Terry Francona is a great manager, he has lead the red sox to two world series in four years, and the game is going to be all AL as it is every year anyway. The American League has such depth that even if the HUGE stars decide to skip the allstar game, they will still have a better team then the NL. Having the red sox manager leading the team at Yankee Stadium should only add to the tension and provide excitement even when the game gets boring.

I believe that would be considered "Poetic justice".
What better way to usher in the new era of RED SOX dominanace in the AL than having the Manager of the BOSTON RED SOX manage the home team in the All-Star game dedicated to the last year of the OLD Yankee stadium. I can't think of a better or more fitting way for it to go out!

Well, this is a silly question. Are Yankee fans THAT insecure that when they have the distinction of hosting the All Star Game it "ruins" it for them if a Red Sox person plays a major role in the game?

I have no idea, I don't know how the manger of each side is selected, but I would think that he gets to selet his won coaches for the job even if it isn't coaches he would normally work with, or just use the coaches that is on his baseball team. Did I say coach in this sport is manger, so I don't know how they are selected, but who knows, maybe or maybe not he will be manging at Yankee Stadium.

Nope not at all, its great in my opinion. I can't wait to see Francona living it up in the Yankee Stadium home dugout. I hope he wrecks every bathroom in the Yankee clubhouse! Sox back to back in 08!!!!

No, I don't think so. The only time when Boston and New York fans can root for each other's players is the All-Star game to ensure their league (in case one of them makes it to the WS) gets homefield advantage in October.

Yankee fans should cheer for him, remember the winning team earns home field advantage in the world series.
