Of course not.

CNN, like most of the US media, is little more than an arm of the Democratic election campaign.

He was just interviewed on MSNBC and asked if he was told to ask that question on behalf of the Hillary campaign and he said emphatically, "No, I was not. I asked that question because I am gay and was gay all through my military career". So it was a legitimate question. He is ticked off about the "Don't ask, Don't tell" policy. He is now a gay activist, so you really shouldn't be surprised that he doesn't support Republicans. And he does not work for the Hillary campaign. He is just on a gay rights committee that they confer with sometimes. All Democrat candidates confer with that committee. The questioner that CNN is going to have trouble explaining is the female questioner with the John Edwards T-shirt on. That was funny!

CNN issuing an apology is laughable.

They knew the entire time about the retired BG being in Hillary's camp.

To Anti cencorship's answer, yeah we have the freedom of speech but this was a republican debate where only republicans go. A democrat came in there and tried to embaraas us!

Does anyone believe that they didn’t know he was a Clinton hack? All you have to do is Google his name. Either CNN's journalists are really lazy or just plain dumb. Either way CNN Credibility just to a huge hit

Yeah, when Fox news apologizes for their half truths and rhetoric. God forbid a democrat ask a republican a question.

There should be no apology. Here in the US we have freedom of speech. If you have a problem with that then you don't belong in this country.
