I am doing an assignment where I have to create a social pyrimid that represents the wealth, social classes, and rankings of american social classes based on the famous capitalist pyramid below:

(if this doesnt work, just type in capitalist pyrimid in google)
I need to have creative little sayings like "we work for you, we eat for you" etc and come up with classes more detailed than just poor middle and high, something like beggars, artists, workers, entrepreuners, etc.
If i only had 5-6 different classes to describe everybody in america as, which ones should i use?

I would group beggars and artists together, but you are on the right track by not grouping artists in with workers.

I think the old pyramid works just fine.

Although I would add blow-dried TV personalities, politicians, and crooked union leaders to the "we fool you" level, and remove one of the religious figures, since they're less important these days.

You might also add a level of the New Billionaires like Bill Gates right under the "we rule you" level, labeled something like "we fool you into thinking you can make it too."

I would also add celebutantes like Paris Hilton and Hollywood stars to the "we eat for you" level.

Otherwise, it works just fine the way it was.

We haven't come very far since then.

Wealthy, and poor.

Pretty much sums it up. The middle class is about to become extinct thanks to Bush.
