does little to mention the success in Iraq since the surge took place? Deaths of US soldiers is down to 29 this month, as opposed to a high this year of 120 in one month, pre surge. IED and suicide attacks are down some 60-70% since the surge. Hundreds of thousands Iraqi refugees are returning to Iraq because it's safer. Yet the only place you'll likely hear about this success, is FOX news, while the liberal leaning media is virtual silent. Unless something even remotely bad happens in Iraq, then the liberal media is out in force reporting non stop.

So true. But why do they want the U.S. to lose in Iraq?

I have heard much of the apparent success of the "surge", and I can assure you that I never watch or listen to FOX. Everyone is happy that some good has come from the surge and that fewer people are currently being killed. That doesn't change the fact that we shouldn't be at war in Iraq at all...

Ha! Ha! Ha!
It is so easy to tell who is a Democrat, Republican, Reporter, etc. I personally think if the media had stayed out of this war, it would have been over a long time ago.
Is allways good to hear --a little good news today --regardless what media reports it.

ABC, CBS and NBC all carried this news just a few days ago as their lead stories. It appears that perhaps the only "news" you watch is on that "fair and balanced" network, Fox! I disagree: if anything, all the mainstream media is predominantly conservative. After all, the media is big business, and conservatism is pro-big business. -RKO- 11/29/07

I've heard it on CNN and the networks? ever watch them...

now do they repeat the same stats DAY IN AND DAY OUT and not put them in any kind of negative light like Fox News does?

no, they don't constantly repeat stats and put them in the best light constantly like Fox News... in other words... they are not propaganda sources like Fox News...

you forgot to mention that deaths are down to early 2006 levels (after high peaks in late 06 and early 07, which is what you're comparing your numbers too)?

funny how no one was saying we were winning then in early 06 with similar levels?

Really?? Still on the "why doesn't the media print the good news" whine?? I'd have thought you guys would have given up on that tactic when the war (that Rummy "doubt(ed)" would last six months) went into its fifth year.... I know... I know... THAT'S the medias fault too, right?

Do you know how to read? try it, every paper between here and Beijing has written about it, maybe you could spell it in Christmas lights, would that be OK for you?

That is because fox news is lying to you.

No, not convenient or true.
This news is everywhere, FOX just finds it convenient to say it is not.

No... I find it very inconvenient because they refuse to report the truth.
