Just curious, since this issue keeps popping up in the elections. Is "don't ask, don't tell" best?

I would not care to know a fellow warrior's sexual leanings, The only thing I would give a damn about is if I can trust him with my life. If I can't then he or she shouldnt be serving.

People are there to serve not to talk about thier sexual choices. They should expect any special preference because they sure as hell are not going to get it.

I say just keep your mouth shut and do your job

Real men and real women, in the real military, not on TV talkshows, really don't care. Do your job and I'll do mine.
It is the politicians and trouble makers that care and make the fuss, not the front line woman or man.

Yes, probably.
A special Democrat Division, just for gays.

I didn't mind gays being in the military with me, as long as they stayed out of my bunk.
(And we didn't have that many Democrats, anyway. I wasn't worried.)
