I dont know if its the same version you have heard but those lyrics sound like swv's "Right here". Swv were an R&b groub in the 90s

The lyrics you describe belong the the group SWV (Sisters With Voices) that was out during the 90's. They have been doing shows here and there but are really not on the music scene currently. Taj, one of the singers recently had a reality show called " I Married a Baller". I think it was on VH1. It was about her marriage to a football player. I'm a chic so don't ask me what his name was but he is like a running back or something...Eddie George, my husband just told me.
