Haven't you figured out that the R party lives by the motto, "... what is not ok for you is perfectly ok for me because I am the elite, God-like creature on this Earth..."

To answer the question, because they live by a double standard.

I didn't notice anyone attacking him personally. But he does seem to have an agenda to push. It wasn't an innocent question.

According to http://www.politico.com/news/stories/1107/7085.html :

"A Nov. 11 press release retrieved from the website of the nonpartisan magazine Campaigns & Elections lists Kerr as one of nearly 50 co-chairs of “Veterans and Military Retirees for Hillary."

Clinton’s campaign did not respond to an e-mail asking about Kerr’s role in her campaign or whether he was acting on behalf of the campaign.

Kerr also was on Kerry’s National Veterans Steering Committee, according to a campaign press release retrieved from the website of George Washington University.

And Kerr appears to be an active opponent of the U.S. military’s current stance on gays and lesbians serving in the military, known as the "don’t ask, don’t tell" policy."

Check out the press release which lists Kerr as one of the Co Chairs.

I dont think anyone attacked his right to speek at the debate. What we are upset at is that he is part of hillary clintons campaign. would you like republican campaign workers to be asking questions at a democratic debate?

They only like General Petraeus because he supports the quest for war. Beyond that he's no use to them or their agenda. This general won't do their bidding and they would have to talk about gays like people and you know how they hate that.
