Which is better, "Outstanding" or "Truely exceptional"?

I am asking my professors to write Letter of Recommendation. Obviously I'm not going to see the letter they write. On the cover sheet, with other categories, I found "Outstanding" and "Truely exceptional." I'm not a native English speaker, and I'm just curious which is better than the other.

Truly exceptional would be better than outstanding.
