I have become more liberal with age (but started in a very conservative midwest farmer family, so I'm just moderate now).

I've become more fiscally conservative with age. Although most YA posters will deny it, there *is* such a thing as being moderate. This Lib V Con thing is a lot of BS, most people are somewhere in the middle.

I was born into a fairly poor family - my father was a Democrat. When I grew up, and got into the working arena, I was a Democrat, too. Then I started to get a measure of financial success, and became a Republican (conservative) as I saw so much tax and spend and spread the wealth, which on the surface sounds OK. But what it does to the people who get stuff without earning it: there is no incentive to do better. Our country is better off when you have people competing and trying to improve...people who sit on the front porch, rock, and draw government checks contribute nothing-some people have no choice - but most do but they have no ambition to do better. Democrats: tax and spend. Republicans: cut taxes, reduce spending.
