Acura is the "high end" Honda company. Many of the cars share components! Thy have a reputation for quality, as do Honda vehicles generally.
The main difference between a Honda and an Acura is in trim level and price. With an Acura, you are paying for more bells and whistles!

I had an Acura Integra and it was the best car I ever had--the best handling, most fun to drive. In 150,000 miles I only had one problem with it, which cost about $400 (the distributor needed to be replaced). That and the major maintenances was all I ever did (I skipped the minor maintenance!) It was destroyed in a rear-ender at 150,000 and by that time it had a few scratches and dings, like you might expect, but the engine was like brand new! I would have gone right out and got another one but they'd gotten more expensive in the meanwhile.
A friend of mine got a new Honda Civic around the same time, and the two cars actually felt very similar to drive. And the Civic was a little cheaper. Probably just as reliable and long-lasting.

It is the most reliable luxury car company. They have the best bluetooth phone service in their cars. They have the best voice command system used for turning on the radio or searching with the GPS using your voice instead of pushing buttons. Acura's have high resale value's. The Acura TSX won the best resale value in a midsized sedan. The Acura RL is the top of the line Acura, which is the most expensive and has the most luxury. The Acura TL is the most popular Acura.

People's perception of Honda (Acura) is far from reality. Honda's are overrated. Toyota outsells Honda badly in Japan and worldwide, and Lexus easily outsells Acura in the U.S. There has to be a reason for that. Toyota makes more reliable vehicles than Honda does.

Lexus easily outsells Acura and are much higher quality and much more reliable vehicles than Acura's are. Infiniti's blow the doors off any comparable Acura performance-wise and are just as reliable if not more reliable than Acura.

The best. Great reliable performance cars. Best kept secret among its class. I leased an RSX Type S and wish I had it back. Very impressed with Acura.
