It can be okay if both are single.. But keep in mind that alot of the time when people get in the "friends with benefits" thing one of the people fall for the other and someone gets hurt.. So yea.. u can fool around with friends but be prepared to deal with the consequences.. If you think there is a possibility of falling for your friend.. you probably shouldn't. If someone gets pregnant.. well.. have fun with that.. good luck..

It all depends on the expectations of both parties involved. Are you, or your friend, hoping that "fooling around" will cause the friendship to become a more serious romantic relationship? Or do both agree that it will remain a casual, "friends with benefits" relationship? It is wise to discuss this ahead of time, because any misunderstanding of intentions can cause very hurt feelings and destroy the friendship.

It is absolutely okay if you both set the rules before hand, such as it won't form into a more serious relationship and not to blab about it. But if you don't set the rules the person may fall for you and you may end up with someone more than a friend :)

No harm, if neither of you are involved in a relationship. Be very careful though, mixing friendship and romance can be very dangerous. You wouldnt want to lose a friend. Make sure you are both very honest with each other. Best of luck! ;-)

No, they will get the wrong idea and it will suck. Even though it might seem like the fact that you are just friends is pretty clear but hooking up always brings up weird feelings. One of you will start to like that other, and it will SUCK. trust me.
