sorry O but Ireland is not a country.
There is the Republic of Ireland which is not British and Northern Ireland which is.
You also forgot Wales.

Scotland doesn't have one, but the UK odes and sodoes England.
See when Scotland play international football, we never get a prince or queen coming to see us, but england do.
It's sort of like the USSR in the respect that it's on the map as one big country but people living within it have never fully accepted other brits as "country men" as much as people from there own country, be that Scotland, England, Wales or Northern Ireland.

Meanwhile, a few weeks ago, a columnist in the Guardian commented on "news of the extraordinary collapse in public knowledge of geography," continuing to report: "According to the British Council, British schoolchildren now come bottom in the international awareness of 10 countries surveyed, beaten by America, India and Nigeria. English children do even worse than Scottish and Welsh ones."
There was no mention of how the children in Northern Ireland do.
