How do I lower the MTU for my internet so my xbox live can work??

The MTU is controlled by your router.
Log onto the router and go to the setting for MTU and change it. It may help to check the router manual first.
Finally be sure to save the changed configuration on your router - many routers require you to save the config change into nonvolatile memory or it will return to the original config when rebooted.

Why would u want to reduce your MTU? The higher the MTU, the better your xbox live connection will be. You probably want to open your NAT. Is that what you're trying to do? If so, open uPnP and put your xbox IP on the DMZ.
