a) No!!! Any form of abuse is unacceptable.
b) UNACCEPTABLE!!! Yes I deserve better.Alot of women in abusive relationships have come from an abusive family. Thus They have been conditioned to tolerate / accept this kind of behaviour as "normal/acceptable"
Trouble is when you are in this kind or relationship and you allow the behaviour to go on because at first you Think they love you & you love them...love is blind...and you make excuses for them. You lose your self worth , your confidence & will to fight back in order to get out. You believe and fear your failure & or the consequnces if you try to leave.
c)Legally yes! Revenge is sweet but is not always the answer it depends on the circumstances. It gets very complicated when there are children involved.
note to all... the system is only designed to help those in extremely bad cases (i.e most help is only available after all the damage has been done and we are broken.) Which is why many women are inadvertedly forced to stay in these relationships ...most of us with families have opted to be stay at home mums thus have no sorce of paid employment. Have few freinds (people don't want to get involved) & very limited resources

It is absolutely not acceptable! Women are not a piece of meat to be beaten on whenever. This is not an okay behavior. If he was to suffer for his actions, it should be ONLY in a lesson-learned situation. Women should be treated equally.

If a man hits me, I will certainly be hitting him back. No man will lay a hand on me that I don't approve of, just as I would never hit a guy I was with.
I am not meat. What the hell is that notion about? You must be hitting the crack pipe a little too hard baby.
As for mental abuse.....abuse is abuse. Don't do it.

NO under any circumstances. My husband tried it
in August and the police hauled him by by and he got
a finger up his a s s. And that was the beginning for him
he is now getting a divorce from me.
I and all women deserve much better.
Oh yeah I want him to suffer for his actions I requested
and was granted that he was ordered by judge to
take domestic violence classes and other classes like
that for rage.
The fight began with my not wanting to go to Church
with a HYPOCRITE he wants to go to Church and sit
close and hold my hand then come home to be a jerk
bully & abusive so finally it is OVER.

It is Positively , absolutely, Undoubtedly, unacceptable for a Man to Hit a Woman or abuse Her in any way!
God says When a Man Finds a Wife, HE Finds a GOOD THING! SHE IS YOUR HELP-MATE!! SHE is not a Rug To walk ON......And I'm Sorry, But if that is the treatment you use on a Girl OR Woman, EXPECT A PAY-DAY! You will REAP WHAT YOU SOW!

Why would you ask such a question? It is never acceptable to hit another person, especially a woman, under any circumstances and any man that believes differently is not a man but a mouse of a man. My dream is to catch a man getting physical with a woman.

No more than it is acceptable to hit a child, a teenager, a grown man or an old person in a wheelchair.
Physical violence as a vent for anger is what children do when they throw tantrums. Adults should know better.

No we certainly are not! The world is so sexist these days... Abuse is a terrible thing. Even mental abuse is bad. Just because your not touching her doesnt mean its not bad. We deserve so much better. If a man abused me I would call the police. For my and his own good.

What do mean, do I think it's acceptable? Of course not! The only people who think it's acceptable are a, the ones doing it, and b, jerks who probably will at some point do it, if they ever find a girl.

Basically hitting anyone is unacceptable. I didnt like it when my ex used to slug me. That's why he's my ex. I had him arrested for hitting my son. By the way, I dont mean just hitting, I mean beating, bruising and pummelling a 10 year old. My ex doesnt hit people anymore.
