It's not so much as being against the war, it's about what we need to do now that we are in a war. I'm sure there are candidates who were against the war from the beginning, but now that it has begun, feel that we need to finish the job.

I've seen what Ron Paul "Stands" for. He's no Republican. More like a bad joke.

Let me see if I can remember some of his "Stands."
Less government, closed borders, no IRS, "free" Health Care, no Patriot Act. Less government? So who's going to oversee the "free" Health Care? No IRS? Who's going to pay for that "free" Health Care? Closed Borders? Isolationism doesn't work. No Patriot Act? So, he's not big on national security, and again, no IRS = No military. Or, is he planning on dumping all of this on the states? Can you say higher taxes and chaos? Not too well thought out. More like a bad joke.

Republicans are for any war as long as they don't have to fight in it. If you want peace draft republicans to fight in it. The majority would have to get a note from their mommy and daddy.
